I am using this moon cycle to review where I have been and where I want to go. This moon cycle started on the Celtic new year, as nature goes to sleep I like to use the energy to turn within and examine my life in terms of past, present and future. Before the holiday season makes me very busy I like to take this time to establish in my own mind where I think I want to go next year and beyond. Does anybody else have suggestions on uses of this moon cycle?

In chinese medicine we store up our qi in the kidneys to prepare for winter. The kidneys are hte house of the will and provide primordial qi for the rest of the body.
Can you tell me about the full moon in Dec. it's in gemini and I's wondering the celtic orgin of this moon and it's implications. Our event will be on the 16th of Dec. which will have the moon in cancer and one day into wanning. thanx again. -

Mother earth, Gaia is our mother of course but on a celestial scale the moon is the female equivilent to the sun for us here on planet earth. If you want to do long term magickal work for solar rebirth begin by using the December moon. If you are having a big celebration on the 16th I suggest you start working toward it with the new moon on the 1st. Call circle and invoke/evoke the deities of your choice to honor her birthday. The first 4 days meditate heavily on what you want to happen. This meditation is to send out your clear thought patterns into the unmanifest womb of our megaverse. This fulfills the east quarter, realm of thought. The next 4 days hold the same thoughts in your minds while beating a drum or shaking a rattle. This combines action with thought, south is the realm of action and the sacred flame of spirit. The next 4 days think those thoughts, beat the drum or shake the rattle and add all the love you see coming out of this event. This utalizes the realm of west and your emotions, unconscious mind and occult wisdom of the ages. the next 3 days focus on your selected thoughts, beat or rattle, feel the love flowing through you and dance with joy knowing your loving spell will come to manifest in Gaia our mother. If it is possible dance barefoot on the ground during this phase. This corrisponds to north our sacred earth and manifesting your spell which this phase will end on the full moon. Earth and moon are sisters you know. Incorporate in your event those thoughts, actions, and emotions tied to East, South, West, and North (dancing barefoot). Always do these acts in a clockwise direction. Counter clockwise is used in bannishment, turning within, and black magic. By incorporating all these elements in your event you will have a magickal chain extending from new to full moon. Plan a method of pulling all these elements into a clockwise vortex and calminate by all participents grounding the energy at once. It indoors ground to bowls of earth which can then be given back to Gaia, energized with your spell.
